Draycast specialises in the production of aluminum castings, primarily utilising sand casting processes, with an additional capability for die castings, especially when clients seek comprehensive job solutions. Our manufacturing operations incorporate both green sand moulding and airset mould systems, enabling the production of diverse aluminum castings. The utilisation of modern resin-bonded sands provides substantial advantages, enhancing mould complexity and flexibility. Although green sand moulding is a traditional approach, it offers notable benefits such as ease of setup, recyclability, environmental footprint and suitability for simpler casting challenges.

We produce aluminium castings in many different alloys which are used in many different applications. Common alloys such as LM4, LM6 & LM25 are cast on a daily basis in the foundry and we are able cater for other specifications on request.
The alloys we use are detailed below and please follow the links to the various individual pages for a more complete description, chemical analysis and application notes for each alloy. We can source other alloys as required but these are what are used on a daily basis.
